It’s the busiest time of the year. Malaysian from every corner would be making their way home and traffic will be unusually high. According to Waze, from 12th June till 20th June, there’ll be a 10% increase in traffic on Kuala Muda roads while people traveling to Terengganu should expect a 42% increase in traffic. Watch your speed
Waze has a special addition to their app which indicates the allowed speed limit in your current road as well as the speed you’re currently driving. This would help you keep an eye on your speed while traveling.
Plan your timing
Waze has prepared a schedule on which would be the best time to hit the road for people traveling to different parts of Malaysia to avoid mass traffic. People traveling to these places, take note!
Share your ETA
Your Estimated Time Arrival may not mean much to you but for your family members who are awaiting your arrival, it will mean a peace of mind and fewer calls to check up on you. Share them your ETA before you start your journey back home.
Don’t hang around crowded areas
Shopping centers, restaurants, hotels, gas stations and banks are some of the crowded places during the Raya season. According to Waze’s analysis, around 20% traffic will increase in shopping centers during Raya as it is a good family hang out spot. It would be best to avoid these places.
